Hello Pity
Hello Pity is a Berlin based psych-noise four-piece that has quickly attracted attention by generating a frenetic reaction from the crowd due to their energetic live appearance during their first concerts. Formed within the beginning of 2019 they released the DIY tape “Goodbye Genius” the same year in spring which brings to mind the gritty era of 90s grunge. Their various inspirations span from folk rock, post punk to noise which transforms their soundscapes into an artful reflection of the modern musical world.
Since their formation they have shared the stage with bands such as Lorelle Meets the Obsolete and The Gluts and have been part of two editions of the Synästhesie Festival in Berlin.
The quartet describes itself as “the result of visceral incarcerations and pseudo-intellectual inspirations.” Their music relays sonic deflagrations, brutal punky pop structures and a sense of sensuality that has been lacking since the heyday of bands such as Sonic Youth, The Wipers and The Vaselines.
In the end of 2021 the band signed on Duchess Box Records, resulting in the release of 2 singles since then.
Heliod
