Dear all,
this will be the last event for 2024 -

We will be very happy to welcome you and enjoy the screening of 'One Day the Mountain Will Fly Away' by Echo Ho together on this Wednesday, 8 pm.

See you then- or next year!
Let's continue to emphasize the importance of culture and art for a livable society !!!

This video essay draws inspiration from the Tibetan legend of the Flying Mountain, tracing cycles of serendipity and encounters with people, events, and landscapes in northeastern Tibet. Each element exists in its own reality. Ultimately, they are connected with the legend "One day the mountain will fly away"; the flying mountain arrives from a distant land to restore order within
chaos but can leave as suddenly as it came, ushering in times of decline and upheaval. This departure becomes a metaphor for humanity's collective transitions, losses, and hopes for a better future

About the artist:
Echo Ho, born in Beijing and based in Berlin, is an interdisciplinary artist known for her modular, onomatopoeic, and poetically estranged works. Ho's art navigates cross-cultural and media-critical perspectives, interweaving historical narratives to explore the interplay of philosophy, technology, and performance. From reimagining the ancient Qin instrument to investigating contemporary Shanshui landscapes, her practice reveals the complexities of identity in a fast-changing world.
Lately, she has explored AI, which is not merely a tool but a collaborator, embodying creative autonomy to transform, merging ritual, algorithmic art, and storytelling to challenge conventional logic. Ho's work has been exhibited internationally at venues like ZKM Karlsruhe, He Xiangning Art Museum, and ISEA. She studied at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and is pursuing a doctorate at Tangible Music Lab, Linz. From 2023 to 2024, she was a guest professor for Time.
