The approach of the collective lab #disconnect puts all its hope into getting closer to a future that is in desperate need of being turned from DYSTOPIA into UTOPIA. 

The fog doesn’t fade away anymore, the question about “What’s next” causes goose bumps. With the endless closeness and the inevitable intimacy caused by the internet and its devices, we were overwhelmed by the dystopic dream. More and more people shut off their phones and go off-line.

Der Nebel verzieht sich nicht mehr und die Frage nach dem ‚What’s next?’ ruft Gänsehaut hervor. Nach der endlosen Nähe und geradezu unvermeidlichen Intimität, die das Internet und seine Devices uns gaben, haben wir uns an einem dystopischen Traum verhoben. Immer mehr Menschen schalten ihre Handys ab und gehen offline.

Der Ansatz dieses kollektiven Labors #disconnect legt alle Hoffnungen in die Wiederannäherung an eine Zukunft, die es bitter nötig hat, von DYSTOPIA in UTOPIA verwandelt zu werden.

Künstler:innen

Die US-amerikanische Choreografin Tarren Johnson, das Berliner Kollektiv Omsk Social Club und die Kulturvermittler*innen Soppa/Bleck zeigen neue Ansätze zu Fragen von #disconnect, die im Rahmen des Labors präsentiert und dem Publikum sanft einmassiert werden. Die Musiker*in und Performerin Lyra Pramuk wir den Abend mit einer Live-Performance abschließen. 

Das öffentliche Labor dazu ein, die strikte Trennung zwischen Festival, wissenschaftlicher Konferenz und Plenum aufzuheben. Unter dem Schlagwort #disconnect sucht dgtl fmsnm  einen Tag lang nach den Bedingungen durchgreifender Digitalisierung – in performativen und partizipativen Arrangements zwischen Musik, Theater, Performance , Aktivismus und Wissenschaft. Das Publikum ist dazu eingeladen, mit den Künstler*innen und dgtl fmnsm Protagonist*innen zu verweilen, wie bei dgtl fmnsm üblich, das Thema durch verschiedene Kunstformen und Formate zu deklinieren.
