LEAF KICKERS continue where Jealousy Mountain Duo had to stop, swirling spiraling guitar plucks and rattling drums descending down a drain in a dialectic of perfect harmony and opposition. It's quite something to hear music that sounds so completly together and also completely abstract. Resting somewhere between improvisation and composition, their two recent LPs have reached across pensive little zones of melancholy, full of skittering metals and warm loops to all encompassing wig outs, while always retaining a strong sense of melody. And all of the sudden out of the swirl, gentle minimalist indie-rock guitar appears and disappears into the ether.
STEF KETTERINGHAM Singing, electric guitar & foot-percussion. Raw and emotional explorations into self-accompanied soul songs, falling into improvised sonic voyages with randomly-tuned electric guitar. Described by Crow Vs Crow as "Beautifully sung, with frenetic swelling clusters of notes and percussive rhythms, teasing between the tipping-point of total dissonance to heart-wrenching melody". Most recent tour was supporting Sly & The Family Drone across France/Spain/Portugal in Oct/Nov 2019.
