Heathen Apostles - Southern gothic outlaw country, murder folk, and dark roots music. In short: BLOODGRASS. Los Angeles, CA
"Born of the voices of past lives and baptized in the dust bowl dirt, the gothic roots music of the HEATHEN APOSTLES harkens back to a bygone chapter of American history while firmly keeping one foot planted in the present-day city of Los Angeles.
Crossing paths at a mutual friend's gathering one Indian summer evening, punk rock veteran Chopper Franklin (The Cramps, Nick Curran & the Lowlifes, Mau Maus) and femme fatale bellower Mather Louth (Radio Noir, Danny B Harvey), quickly uncovered a mutual appreciation for murder balladry, Americana, and memento mori. It was not long before a collaboration that sought to marry these interests in a sonic landscape, THE HEATHEN APOSTLES, surfaced. The landscape was further tilled with the addition of Thomas Lorioux (The Kings of Nuthin'), Stevyn Grey (Christian Death, 45 Grave), Viktor Phoenix and Luis Mascaro.
The debut Heathen Apostles single, "Dark Was The Night", captures the essence of the Heathen Apostles modus operandi: Southern gothic imagery surrounded by haunting, minor-chord melodies, helmed by the voice of a evocative Indigo child, unstuck in time. "
Prison Of Blues - Psychobilly estd.2007
Temanggung, Jawa Tengah, RI
"Prison Of Blues is a psychobilly band from the town of tobacco manufacturers, Temanggung, Central Java – Indonesia. Formed sometime in the end of 2007.
At first Bowo asked Ndaru, Baskoro, and Antok to form a band because the four young men set out to play music from a punk scene in Temanggung so can not directly bring psychobilly, but we begin by bringing punk rock songs such as The Clash, Social Distortion , Ramones.
Over time and with the development of music in Indonesia, Prison Of Blues replace electric bass instrument into double bass / bass betot, and four punk rockers started playing psychobilly music like Tiger Army, Mad Sin, Rezurex, Nekromantix, The Meteors...."
